Hey, all you UT and GMC oldtimers out there. [DT] Clan has made a subdued comeback onto the scene with some of our OG members back in the mix with an old LAD clan member along for the ride this time. Iceman and Roost have been hanging around but I cant quite lure those guys back in yet.

We plan on playing a bunch of games together but our bread and butter will be UT, UT2k4 and maybe even UT3. We have our DM and CTF LGI and custom servers coming back up for UT2k4 next week with as many classic map remakes as I can find. I want a UT server up again for awhile as soon as the cash starts flowing a lil better (income tax time) just for old times sake. If it gets a lot of peeps visiting then I'll keep it up.

Anyway, come by and shoot the shit or join us in some good ole fraggin action again. Site is pretty much done now as far as the important crap goes but still needs tweaks. Let me know if you guys visit if any problems come up. Thanks.

Wow, man it's great to see some of the ole timers gettin back into the swing. Untill you get your server up and running, most of us here who still play, play on the [SOB] server. The IP's listed in the server section, I believe.

AZ its real good to hear there are some old UT diehard guns out there. Look forward to seeing you all soon on the SOB server and look forward to seeing your server as well.

I've slowly been hunting down 'classic' giant maps that I somehow lost over the years.

As I collect them I'll be uploading them at utgmc.com under the download section.

There are still some UT map sites out there that host some of the maps but many hits lead to dead links.

I actually re-installed classic UT the other day and played a few minutes online but I quickly remembered why I uninstalled it so long ago. :)

Still and all, if you have maps that are zipped I can set you up with an account so you can upload them to the site for me.

I have just about every GMC map made, most are the original un-edited maps ( many clans edited them for clan logos ). With Hosers and Andys permission, I'll gladly upload them here for others to use. I also have some voice pacs and MODS.

I can also pivit them off my site ass well.

I could probably dig up my three map packs if you want them....they have most of the DM maps we played on up to a point and it makes installation much easier. I should still have all the individual maps as well if you want.

In fact I think I still have everything that was in my ftp for UT so I could just upload the whole folder....it's probably several gigs worth.

Add them please, Candy. I miss your site, thats where I got most of the maps I have. Minus the ones I made myself.

That sounds good, I found my backup and its a little over five gigs worth of files but it's everything I had....even have the pics from belzies birthday party and the cbgb clan bake still in it:D

ok, you now have all 5.15 gigs of ut99 files I had. Feel free to delete anything you don't think is needed or worth keeping....the stuff I uploaded is all in the "utfiles" folder and fairly well organized.

And it's sad, because I've googled the shit out of some of the map names and they don't show up anywhere... maybe that's a good thing, for the bandwidth drain it would bring...

I wouldn't worry about it. One of the sites that still has a lot of giant maps on it had only 2 or 3 downloads recorded on each of the 25 maps I saw.

Nice, I was looking for some old UT maps so that I could use someday. I'll be sure to check out the old GMC site too. Thanks for the offer to help out with the 99 server, Straycat. I hope to have one up soon and see how it goes.

I did find some nice remakes of some old 99 maps, like LockerRoom and DoJo from DD, to put on our 2k4 servers. Maybe, I'll upload the remakes I have for the UT2004 folder.

I have them all now, thanks to Andys FTP. I DLed EVERYTHING!:D ( well, most everything I felt would be usefull ) Lots of server aids as well.

Let me know when your going to setup your server, I'll more then gladly ( ok, bad English ) help out.
