I really don't get the idea of that HD switcher? Why not just use the bios boot drive quick select? Anyway, I also have two Raptor 74G drives in RAID 0 on a PCI express board controller, forget the make, unbelievably fast for SATA. Much faster than just a single 74G by a long shot. I do have a backup drive in case the RAID get up goes south and back up a lot. Which should be done whether you have a RAID or not.

Looks like you're going to have pretty nice system no matter how you configure it.

Oh, if you're worried about running the Raptors all the time don't even, mine have been going pretty much 24/7 for years.

The A7N8X DELUXE is a GREAT MOBO! It just wouldnt handle some of the new games. I will still reuse it probably in the puter in garage. Yah I love the HD switch. I could have used boot partitions but I like hardware solutions better:cool:

Actuall TOM it was pretty cheap to build. The processor only costed 149.00 from newegg. the MOBO was 180.00 the v:cool: id card was free from my brother as well as the PS. Memory costed 110.00 after rebate. The raptors I had. But daym this thing is fast!

so are you putting UT99 back on it? or UT3?
and whats the full specs of the computer?
