WTH was the game speed/type settings again?

I'ld like to see it run GMC style.

No map vote, no special mods, just the big ol' standards.
Backyards, master bath, master bed, a few maps from FAA, IFC, SDK, CBGB, etc.

There were some people than ran 155/55, and others that ran 150/50.

It will be on a dedicated server with a few other instances running, should work just fine... think that box is in or near Ohio.

RAT was 155/55 when it wasn't resetting itself. And for some reason there was a random small map thrown in which made play very crazy with the 155/55

I don't even have UT installed (since 2003 or something) but I'll be happy to start up another UT2004 GMC server for those of us with better taste and better video cards.

Well Put it up then, I just tried to play on some lame servers...No Big Maps? WTF?

I found a couple of "Big Map" servers the other day but they literally had like 1gb of downloads.

It reminded me of the very early days of UT when even a few custom maps and a mutator or two could kill a server.

Even though the downloads today are 100X faster than in 2001 it still pisses me off to sit waiting and waiting and waiting.

It's like, HOW MANY FUCKING MUTATORS AND MODS DO YOU NEED FOR THAT SERVER!!!!

What used to piss me off was all the custom skin Dls:rolleyes:

What piss me off is the mappers could not be creative n changer the name of the files so it don't make error!!!!!

Yo me and the FaA boys are down (old & some new). Actually we just installed UT99 not to long ago and had to wait forever to just get in the elite server because of downloads & lack of a redirect. So I just gave up ha. Looking forward to it tho hoser :)

Server is running smooth. It's in Chicago, I ping about 50 in game.

I have 3dfx24c mapvote on it with the esr mutator and that works fine, having trouble getting the lowgrav to stick past a map vote. Once that's done (probably tonight) I'll give out the ip. For the time being, the server won't advertise - it will keep most of the assholes in the dark that way.

...except the ones here. :D

He talked me into using a different mapvote and it's worked out well.
It's just about done, need to load some more maps and tweak 1 or 2 things.
