If you go under steam groups and type 2399 theres a clan representing the old ut99ers. I think it's a non serious group now but the leader hasnt responded back to me at all so I'm assuming it's just a bad imposter using the old name to generate new interest.

Then there's always the whole "some OTHER clan is using the same tag 12 yearss later". I mean, it happens.
