Dumped PC-BSD, installed Fedora Core 7
Even more slick and smooth, it recognized my sata dvd drive off the bat, and is not jumpy and buggy. Pulled my exact nVidia card and sound drivers. Did a standard workstation install, got 106 updates (felt like xp
 except they went really fast).So far so good. Installed UT2k4, but it didn't seem to run - I guess I forgot it needs the Play CD until you patch it. Went out and got the latest patch. Best I can figure out how to install it is to just copy it over the existing files. Right or wrong?

I've been using FC since version 1. I've always like it
 SuSE is good stuff too.There's a nix UT2004 Patch here: http://www.linuxhardware.org/article.../08/31/1430232 Also, linuxquestions.org is a really good site for linux problems and other questions you might have about FC or any other distro being used.
